Because this event takes place in May, we understand it may be warm during the day at the event. You are welcome to bring a change of clothes and change before and after your session if you prefer.
The technical inspection goes over various aspects of the vehicle to ensure it will be safe for you and everyone else on the track. As a general rule, an "unmodified" factory vehicle will pass tech without any problems, but cars that have been modified seats, roll bars, belts, etc Your vehicle must also be free from loose items; such as floor mats, beverage bottles, loose change, etc If you'd like to inspect your own car ahead of time to ensure you won't have any issues at the track, you may use this checklist as a preliminary guide.
It depends. As long as you are safe and in control of the vehicle, we will give you a few attempts to try and do a burnout. If you are out of control and reckless, that's it, you're done. No if's, and's, or but's. Also, if we give you a few attempts and you still can't do a burnout, don't be surprised if the crowd chants for you to put the nose of your vehicle "against the wall" or heckles you.
It's nothing personal and all just part of the fun. Body damage to cars very rarely occurs, but if you choose to spin around inside the box, there is the chance you may make contact with one of the k-walls. Also, if you place the front of your car against the wall, there is the chance you may scratch your bumper and or do additional damage. One of the best things about HyperFEST is being able to camp out and hang with old and new friends, as well as enjoy everything this event has to offer.
