His acting ability is far beyond what I expected in this movie!!! His performance is outstanding!! He is short and young looking for his age acting as a 3 year old at age 7 in the movie "Titanic" , and that is his ONE advantage he has.
If you enjoy "Chick Flicks", ya gotta see this!! Patrick 11 December I hadn't planned on viewing this film. I had been watching the program before it and simply didn't turn the television off or change the channel. After about 15 minutes into it, I was pulled into the strong story. The film was thoroughly engrossing and the performances, especially that of young Seth Adkins, were superb.
I found myself in tears throughout the film and the ending caused me to completely break down. I can't recommend this film enough. Next time it's on, please don't miss it. Last night I had the pleasure of watching this movie again mainly to enjoy the outstanding performance of Seth Adkins, now a grown man, who played the lead role of ADAM.
If for now other reason, watching this movie to relish in his performance is well worth it. Quite an emotional "roller coaster" especially the final scene in the barn which I'm sure, like most of the movie, will bring tears to your eyes.
Congratulations to the producers and casting department. Incredible acting from the little boy, some of the best I've ever seen. The story is scary, the horrors little Andrew had to suffer makes this story terrifying. There was good acting all around but incredible acting from the actor who plays Andrew. With believable performances from all of the cast, the young Seth Adkins in the title role of Andrew was fantastic. He carried out even the most emotionally harrowing scenes with credibility and flair, making his character lovable despite his withdrawn and odd behaviour.
It was about what some people are doing to their kids. But we do know that it happens. Though the real father did jail time for kidnapping his son, Overall is shocked that his girlfriend did not. She was part of that mess. She should have been held accountable. Can you imagine--to steal a life and barely pay for it? The other thing that is important to take away is that love can set you free, even after an experience like this.
I understand those who have faced traumatic situations face their trauma at their own pace. But, as I already said, there is only so much story you can tell in an hour and twenty-eight minutes.
Whenever I participate in a blogathon, I try to choose a film or topic that brings something different to the table. That is certainly the case for Taming Andrew , as it presents the aftermath of a kidnapping.
But there are flaws that held this movie back from being stronger than it was. These issues make me wish the film had been two hours. A missing child or trauma can certainly be just two factors that deny families these things. Are you participating in the Home Sweet Home Blogathon? If so, which movie did you choose to write about? Let me know in the comments section! Thanks for bringing this film to my attention, it sounds a lot like a film I reviewed called The Deep End of the Ocean.
The premise was the same but handled differently it would be interesting to compare them. Thanks for joining the blogathon. Like Liked by 1 person. How interesting! Thanks again for joining the blogathon with this great review! Whenever I join a blogathon, I try to choose a movie or subject that will bring something different to the table. Hope you can join in July! Despite its flaws, this sounds like an interesting film. I will have to keep an eye out for it. Like Like. See more at IMDbPro.
